As the sun is beginning to shine for longer and the days are growing warmer, it’s time to start prepping for all the outdoor cooking you’ll be doing this summer. And what better way to spend time outside than with a griddle that you can use to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner?
By now, you’ve probably seen the viral Blackstone flat top griddle taking over TikTok, with creators making smash burgers, pizzas, hibachi-style dinners, full breakfasts, and much more with the grill. We’re just as in awe of the endless recipe possibilities with a gas-powered griddle as you are, but what we can’t always get behind is the $100+ price tag.
If you, too, want to take your outdoor cooking to the next level but can’t justify forking over hundreds of dollars for a griddle, then your local Aldi will be your best friend this week. Starting June 5, Aldi is selling a Range Master 17” Tabletop Gas Griddle for just $59.99.
Aldi’s $60 Blackstone Copycat
A new month means new products in Aldi’s “aisle of shame,” and we’re already starting off pretty strong with this 17” tabletop Blackstone copycat. The heavy-duty steel griddle comes pre-seasoned and ready to use with a propane gas tank—though you’ll have to get the propane tank separately. Its 260 square inches of cooking space make it spacious enough to cook for a crowd, but easy enough to transport anywhere this summer. From camping to tailgates, the gas griddle can make an appearance anywhere you’re craving grilled foods.
Aldi’s $59.99 griddle is a copycat for Blackstone’s 17” Original Tabletop Stainless Griddle that retails for nearly $180. Despite Blackstone’s griddle being priced more than double Aldi’s version, the Blackstone griddle isn’t that much different. Blackstone’s tabletop griddle has a few more inches of cooking space and might look a little bit sleeker than the German retailer’s, but does that make it worth the price? That’s for you to decide.
Aldi’s Range Master griddle joins the Aldi Finds aisle for a limited time this week alongside some other summer must-haves. To accompany the griddle, the grocery store is selling a four-piece griddle tool kit, complete with two spatulas, a scraper, and a bottle, for $7.99.
Additionally, the Crofton brand has meat choppers and shredder claws for $3.99; tongs and fish spatulas for $2.99; and a master cutting board for $9.99 this week. Between the gadgets and the frozen Grill Master Collection—which has ribeye steaks, New York strip steaks, bacon-wrapped steaks, burgers, pork chops, and chicken breasts for $59.99—hitting Aldi shelves, our summer barbecues are about to be next level.
