No drink says summer quite like a cool glass of lemonade. Whether you’re walking around a theme park in the blazing sun or serving up a pitcher during a family barbecue, you can’t deny the refreshing quality of the sweet citrus drink. The simple blend of sugar, lemons, and water creates a surprisingly perfect mixture that goes with almost any meal, can be used in many desserts, and is loved by all ages.
As temperatures rise and the official start of summer approaches, some brands have been looking to lemonade as inspiration for their newest offerings. Taco Bell recently released a line of lemonade-inspired drinks, and Hershey announced a new Kit Kat flavor that appeals to fans of the beverage’s blush-hued counterpart.
Now, Häagen-Dazs is taking action by bringing back one of its most refreshing frozen drinks.
Häagen-Dazs Frozen Lemonades Are Returning
Häagen-Dazs isn’t just a grocery store staple. The company also has hundreds of shops selling various offerings, such as coffee frappes, smoothies, and, not surprisingly, treats made with its famous ice cream.
According to a recent press release, Häagen-Dazs is bringing frozen lemonade back to shops nationwide for a limited time. The frozen drinks first hit shops last year in two fruity flavors: Strawberry Frozen Lemonade and Raspberry Frozen Lemonade. This year, it’s adding a new tropical flavor to the lineup: Strawberry Mango Frozen Lemonade.
The blended drinks are a unique fusion of fruit sorbet, lemonade, and a surprising ingredient: seltzer. While the fruit sorbet and lemonade do most of the heavy lifting when it comes to taste, adding seltzer makes the drink effervescent and refreshing.
All three frozen lemonades will be in Häagen-Dazs shops nationwide starting June 15 and will be available through August 31.
