Did Brooks Just Launch My New Favorite Walking Shoe?

My go-to shoe is a sneaker, so I have a bit of a collection. I’m a lover of all different styles and brands, from the lightweight Adidas that saved my feet on vacation to the waterproof Reeboks I can wear no matter the weather.

Shockingly, I had never tried many of our editors’ favorite brands to wear. This includes Brooks, which is one of the most popular brands for those looking for comfort. But recently, I snagged a pair of its newest sneakers, and consider me influenced, because the second I stood up in these shoes, I felt the most support I’ve ever felt in a sneaker.

Meet the Brooks Glycerin Max, the newest innovative design by the running shoe company. With a layer of protective cushioning, these sneakers are both ultra comfortable and will give you a bit of height (which is great for 5’2” me). 

I walked around Philadelphia’s Old City one weekend in these sneakers, easily exceeding 10,000 steps by dinnertime. And while I was a bit tired, I genuinely forgot that I usually feel soreness in my feet after walking that much. These new shoes are saving my feet every day I walk in them, and they’re nearly influencing me to pick up running as the weather cools down in my neighborhood. Any sneaker that is having me consider going out for a jog is a winner in my book!
