Cheez-It Is Releasing 2 Brand-New Flavors Inspired by Its Fans

The holiday season is fast approaching, which means it’s time to step up your snack game. Whether you’re whipping up a bowl of snack mix for a party or loading up a tote bag with treats for a road trip to see family, you can never go wrong with a box of Cheez-Its.

The cheesy baked crackers provide the perfect satisfying crunch and come in a variety of flavors. Earlier this year, the brand collaborated with Taco Bell to bring its beloved taste to the drive-thru. Then, over the summer it teamed up with Hidden Valley Ranch to make a Ranch Cheez-It that immediately earned a top spot in our personal favorites list. Now, the brand is adding two new bold flavors to its permanent lineup, inspired by its adventurous fans.

Cheez-It Smoked Cheddar and Cheez-It Smoked Gouda

Cheez-It knows its audience and how to keep them wanting more. The brand recently revealed its two newest flavors on Instagram: Cheez-It Smoked Cheddar and Cheez-It Smoked Gouda. “I can’t choose, they both sound amazing!” wrote one fan. Another Instagrammer suggested a clever idea to get the best of both worlds. “Oh, definitely mixing them,” they commented.

Cheez-It’s Smoked Cheddar crackers combine the sharpness of aged cheddar with a hint of onion, hickory, and oak wood smoke. Meanwhile, the Smoke Gouda variety is infused with hickory and maple wood smoke flavor to enhance the gouda’s nuttiness and sweet undertones.

While smoked crackers are a first for the brand, fans have been creating their own smoked Cheez-Its for years. In one Reddit thread, a fan called them “life-changing” and many more took to the comments to share their best tips and seasoning recipes. The trend has also made its way to Tiktok, with Smoked Cheez-It instructional videos racking up millions of views. But now fans won’t have to take hours to enjoy the richness of a homemade smoked Cheez-It, since they can simply pick up a box (or two) at the store and dig in.

Smoked Cheddar and Smoked Gouda Cheez-Its are expected to drop at major grocery chains nationwide starting in November, just in time to add a smoky twist to all your holiday snacking needs.
