Instead, it just served as a reminder that one of the brand’s most beloved snacks was discontinued. Luckily, Little Debbie enthusiasts don’t need to mourn this treat any longer, as some shoppers have spotted it back in stores.

Little Debbie Marshmallow Treats Are Back

For 8 years, the Little Debbie Marshmallow Treats took a break from shelves. The treat is the brand’s version of a Rice Krispies Treat and was a childhood snack for many. The gooey bars made of crispy rice cereal and fluffy, melted marshmallows are the perfect combination of chewy and melty and evoke childhood nostalgia with every bite.

The Little Debbie dessert was first reported to be returning by Instagram user @markie_devo, who declared the treat “a staple in convenience stores as well as markets.” This version might look just like a basic rice cereal treat, but many fans say they are better than any other that you can find. In the post’s comment section, fans chimed in to share their love for the treat. 

“Is this a dream?” one enthusiast posted. “What a classic,” another added. Several users shared memories of eating them as kids. One user even shared that they did a comparison test between this version of the treat and other brands, finding that the Little Debbie treat “tasted more like what you would make at home.”

While there is nothing like a homemade Rice Krispies treat, shoppers say this prepackaged snack comes as close as you can get.

Where to Find Little Debbie Marshmallow Treats

While the treat has not yet popped up on the Little Debbie website, other shoppers have reported finding it on the shelves of their local convenience store. So, while it depends on the store, you have a good chance of finding the snack during your next gas station snack run.

According to Devo’s Instagram post, the one drawback to this long awaited return is that the marshmallow bars will now be sold in single servings instead of multipacks. Regardless, we are just happy to know they are back—hopefully for good this time.
