Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts Are Teaming Up on 3 First-of-Their-Kind Doughnuts

Krispy Kreme was full of surprises in 2024. Not only did it launch several delightful collaborations like Barbie-inspired doughnuts and phantom-focused Ghostbuster doughnuts for Halloween, it also offered free doughnuts to loyal fans throughout the year. Did we mention its Original Glazed doughnut was also the key ingredient in one of our favorite desserts from last year?

Another brand that had a great 2024? Pop-Tarts. The sugary, fruity pastries became the focus of a social media hack in which home cooks swore by adding butter to their Pop-Tarts to enhance the flavor profile. Pop-Tarts also released giant versions of its famed toaster pastries in 2024 and brought back its fan-favorite cinnamon roll variety for a limited time. 

Now, these two iconic breakfast brands are joining forces for the first time ever for a special collaboration some might call outrageous.

The Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts Doughnut Collaboration

Beginning Jan. 6, Krispy Kreme and Pop-Tarts are teaming up to release three brand new doughnuts that celebrate the best elements of a Krispy Kreme doughnut and Pop-Tart pastry. As you might have predicted, the three new doughnuts transform Pop-Tarts’ most beloved flavors into delicious doughy creations: Pop-Tarts Frosted Strawberry Doughnut, Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Doughnut, and Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Doughnut.

The Frosted Strawberry Doughnut is stuffed with strawberry filling, dipped in shortbread icing, and topped with shortbread pieces, sprinkles, strawberry drizzle, and a Frosted Strawberry Pop-Tarts piece.

The Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Doughnut features Krispy Kreme’s Original Glazed pastry dipped in chocolate icing and topped with brownie batter buttercream and crushed Frosted Chocolatey Fudge Pop-Tarts Bites.

Lastly, the Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon Doughnut features a cinnamon-sugar doughnut topped with brown sugar cinnamon cream cheese-flavored buttercream, and a Frosted Cinnamon Roll Pop-Tarts Bites piece.
