We are now 25 years into this century. For some of us, Y2K and all the hoopla that accompanied the turn of the calendar page from Dec. 31, 1999, to Jan. 1, 2000, doesn’t seem that long ago. But there are now adults who weren’t even born when that calendar page flipped. Obviously, how seemingly quickly that quarter of a century passed varies from person to person.
Wendy’s has teamed up with Grubhub to recognize that a quarter of a century has passed by offering its Dave’s Single for just 25 cents. It’s not the first time Wendy’s has partnered with the meal delivery service to bring extra value to an order. In the past, it’s offered free Baconators when tacked on to an order.
How to Get a 25-Cent Dave’s Single From Wendy’s
A Dave’s Single is a classic cheeseburger featuring a quarter-pound of beef, American cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickle, ketchup, mayo, and onion on a toasted bun. To get one for just a quarter, burger lovers must order $20 worth of food (before tax, tip, and fees) through Grubhub at a participating Wendy’s location for delivery or pickup. (In case you didn’t know, you can order at some restaurants through Grubhub but pick up the food yourself, saving you delivery fees.)
Then, select a Dave’s Single on the menu before you checkout. The discount will be applied to your order, bringing the cheeseburger down to 25 cents.
Of course, you have to decide what to order before you add the cheeseburger. Our taste tester gave Wendy’s Nuggets an excellent score when pitted against other fast food nuggets, so the crispy breaded chicken nugs are a safe bet.
And in a separate taste test, Wendy’s fries came in number one out of 12 fast food French fries, so you might want to add some of those to your order, too. Add a Frosty or two, a couple more sandwiches, and you’ve got yourself a 25-cent cheeseburger.
This offer is good until Jan. 13.
