M&M’s and Snickers Just Announced 2 New Products We Can’t Wait to Try

Most of us who live in the U.S. have a convenience store within 10 minutes of our homes. The aptly named category of stores is designed so shoppers can run in to grab a coffee, a soft drink, a snack, or maybe a custom-made sandwich, and be out the door in about five minutes.

Research shows that “half of the U.S. population ages 14 and over shops at a convenience store once a day. With that volume of customer engagement, it makes sense that brands would focus on creating convenience store-friendly or exclusive products.

Mars Wrigley, the maker of some of our favorite candies, such as M&M’s. Twix, Skittles, and Snickers, just announced two new treats perfect for convenience stores.

M&M’s and Snickers New Ice Cream Treats

It’s tough to go wrong with anything M&M’s or Snickers-related. M&M’s are so popular that we expect new colors and new flavors to show up on the store shelves frequently, especially during the holiday season. Snickers are just plain satisfying whether in their original form or the new pecan variation.

Classic candy and candy bars are no longer just showing up in the checkout aisle anymore. Candy lovers can now often find them in the freezer section of grocery and convenience stores. Recently, Butterfinger, 100 Grand, and Baby Ruth all got an ice cream bar makeover, and now M&M’s and Snickers are getting the ice cream bar treatment, too.

You’ll soon be able to satisfy your sweet tooth with these frozen treats:

  • M&M’s Peanut Butter Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich: M&M’s Milk Chocolate Minis combined with baked sugar cookies and 100 percent real peanut butter ice cream sandwiched in between.
  • Snickers Dark Ice Cream Bars: Caramel, peanuts, and chocolate-peanut butter ice cream enrobed in dark chocolate.

The two new ice cream treats were featured at the 2024 National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show Expo this month in Las Vegas. The new treats are expected to be in convenience stores sometime in 2025. It’s safe to say we’ll be counting down the days until an official announcement that they’re hitting shelves.
